As per the reports, it is said that this mega insurance package, it covers production insurance and loss of revenue in overseas and India. Not only that, the insurance also covers delays in shooting, losses due to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, fire accidents on the sets, damage to production material, property and injury to actors during shooting. Wait on, this is not the end for it. The policy also covers sudden illness among the main cast of the film due to food poisoning or if they’re under bad weather.
Lingaa is said to be the second highest-ever insurance cover in India while the first touted to be Salman Khan’s Kick which had Rs 300 Crore insurance cover. Although initially it was seen as an additional burden for film producers, slowly the notion has been changed and we hear that the insurance for movies is slowly becoming a norm.
