Romance, powerful dialogues, emotions and top of it.Let us see what impact the film made on viewers.
Mahesh Babu called as Ajay in this flick. He grows up in a joint family with his father Sathyaraj , a tctiful business man. However when troubles enveloped the joint family which results in Ajay go in search of his ancestrail disposition. However, he encountered many problems on his journey, which showcased family bondings and affections .i,e., ‘Brahmotsavam’ on screen.
Though Mahesh Babu is a crowd puller, but the movie is shot realistic and has no action or fight scenes. The film gives a grounded treatment to the real life and gauges the family essence beautifully. He attracted with his comedy timing and expressions. Emotional scenes of Mahesh takes viewers to another world. Praneetha got good role , Kajal as Kasi Annapurna looks modern. Another cutie Samantha steal the show with her cute expressions. Rao Ramesh stood apart from all others with his expressions and mannerisms. Satyaraj attracted with his high emotional performance and others like Revathi, Jayasudha complimented him quite well. Rest of the cast did justice to their characters.
Director Srikanth Addala who earlier collaborated with Mahesh Babu and delivered the super hit movie Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC) has once again teamed up with Mahesh for Brahmotsavam. He highlighted celebration of life with all in the family and relatives cutting across generations. Some of the dialogues are thought provoking and there are many emotional scenes with touch the heart. Many will go nostalgic but slow pace of the film, too many characters, film deviating from the main theme, lack of comedy and mass commercial elements undermine the effort.
Songs are melodious and the composer Mickey J Meyer did welll. However Mani Sharma’s background score elevated the film.
DOP Ratnavelu with his camera has created stunning visuals. Editing could have been better as many scenes dragged the film which is already slow. We have to appreciate high production values of PVP..
Mahesh and Samantha chemistry was immensely appreciated in Dookudu and SVSC. Now the same lead is back with one more stunning Beauty Kajal Agarwal . Fans are excited to see them on screen. However director have confused with handling emotional journey in Brahmotsavam. On the whole, Brahmotsavam is decent movie which can be watched for Mahesh terrific performance.
