As we all know how busy did Oscar winning music composer AR Rahman become in Hollywood after he won Oscars for “Slum-dog millionaire “. Rahman has been shuffling between USA and India for his works. But he has been managing most of his works for Indian movies from abroad itself. AR Rahman while talking to media the other day, he shared his feelings about his career and other few things ..Read in his own words.
After wrapping his work on Shankar’s I and Rajnikanth’s Lingaa, Rahman moved to Beverly Hills, California for a short stay there to complete work on a couple of Hollywood projects. He says, “One has to sacrifice food and comfort zone to shift from India to Hollywood”, as he keeps bagging a series of projects there now. However Rahman made an astounding remark that he feels a sense of relaxation while working in USA which he could not find in India.
“In India I could never go out due to the immense fan following and can’t sit in a part or visit a store. But back in US, I’ve this kind of independence”, feels Rahman. This lead composer visited USA recently to receive an honorary doctorate from Berklee college of Music 24th October.
