Introduction:

Srinivas Reddy has got a chance to play lead role once again. Jamba Lakidi Pamba movie which was made two decades back by EVV was a classical hit. Now, makers have tried to recreate the magic on silver screen. Please check the content and performance of the star cast.

Story:

Varun(Srinivasa Reddy) and his wife(Siddhi) want to take divorce due to unresolved differences between them. During this situation, their genders are interchanged. What will happen and how do they act and react. Do they take divorce or not is the rest of the story.

Performances:

Although Srinivas Reddy and Siddhi did similar roles that we had seen two decades back, their characters and performance are convincing. Both are good in their roles. Vennela Kishore’s role as an assistant to Posani offers a few laughs. Rajesh and Dhanraj are okay.

Analysis:

Two decades back, EVV tried this magic with all comedians where all men will start behaving like women after drinking contaminated water in the village. It was super hit comedy hit those days. Still, it is a masterpiece for comedy.

Now, J B Murali Krishna has come up with a similar concept by reversing characters. But, it could not reach the expectations of audiences. The director did not focus on comedy rather; he focused on the divorce of the couple to know each other.

The first half of the film is about quarreling between them and second half is about their reversed characters.

The real fun in this film is when Srinivas Reddy’s father asked him to come to the village. When former comes to know that he has no matter.

Tanikella Bharani scolds Srinivas Reddy when he is preparing Dum Biryani. You should have Dum in sexual power, not in cooking skills. Overall, Jamba Lakidi Pamba missed out the magic of recreating comedy.

Technicalities:

The movie has enough production values and dialogues are mediocre. The cinematography is fine and music is not up to the mark. The editing is not sharp.

Final Say:

Jamba Lakidi Pamba is simple comedy film which failed to recreate the magic
