Janatha Garage directed by Koratala Siva starring Superstars Mohanlal and Jr NTR, is one of the most anticipated movies for its ensemble cast including Malayali actor Unni Mukundan and Rahman. The movie made simultaneously in Telugu and Malayalam, has hit the screens worldwide on Thursday.
Anand ( NTR Jr.) is a environment student who is a nature lover. He takes good initiative of planting as many trees as possible and opposing the deforestation in his own city. The film’s story is about two men – one loves nature and Earth, while the other loves people.
Starting off his fight to protect the environment, Jr NTR eventually meets Mohan Lal and their fight begins together there. Mohan Lal is a silenced don who used to fight for justice supporting people in various situations. Jr NTR tries to find out the strong reason behind Mohan Lal’s silence after knowing his past as a don. How does Jr NTR gets to know the reason? What happens when these two characters meet at crossroads? Janatha Garage has an interesting story, emphasising on the importance of nature and people in our lives, in a very commercial and entertaining way.
Slow paced narration
Lack of Comedy
Jr NTR has excelled in his character. He is already a proven actor and dancer and he aced the character in the movie. Malayalam Super star Mohan Lal, he just mesmarised with his performance. Characterization of Mohan Lal has been so intense and catchy and even the audience received it so well.
The leading ladies Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nitya Menon has nothing to do, however they have done justice to their roles.
Eventhough it is a routine mass entertainer , which has been brilliantly handled by the Director. Not only the direction part but also the screenplay, story and dialogues were done by Koratala himself.
Even though the movie has a slow paced narration and less comedy scenes, the other intense scenes just dominated the feel.
Editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao has been neat and clean. DSP’s music rocked and thrilled the audience. Cinematography was simply amazing.
Siva Koratala’s writing is full of errors. His screenplay is not convincing. Although NTR and Mohanlal have tried hard to save this wafer thin script, the cliched work doesn’t soar up much. All in all, the movie can be watched for some moments in the second half and NTR’s terrific performance. Overall, Janatha Garage is a good message oriented mass entertainer.
Some repairs to be done
