Balakrishna heroine Radhika Apte recently made shocking comments on Tollywood. She said Tollywood was male chauvinist and she was insulted in the sets manytimes and she will never do any more films in the industry. Kriti Sannon who made her debut in Tollywood with Mahesh Babu’s 1-nenokkadine said “Every industry is patriarchal. In Bollywood, if you are working with one of the top actors, he is bound to be the centre of attention.” She added “Unless I am deliberately snubbed or made to feel small, I’m ok with the hierarchy on the sets.”
Elaborating further she said “I’ve never encountered any blatant partiality. I’ve never been sidelined for the sake of the hero. The units of both the films that I’ve done so far in Telugu have been fun to shoot with. I love Tollywood as much as Bollywood. I started in T’town, and now I’ve another Telugu film ready for release. I’d love to continue doing Telugu films. I find the industry disciplined and very work friendly,”. Kriti is currently starring in Naga Chaitanya’s Dochey which is slated for release on April 24.
