Superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday conveyed his thanks to his fans, “Kabali” producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu, director Pa Ranjith, theatre owners and distributors .
“My heartfelt gratitude to all those who made ‘Kabali’ a huge success. From my producer to director to fans and to the media, I thank each and every one of them,” Rajinikanth said in a letter issued to the media.
In the letter, he also wrote about his US sabbatical.
An official press release from the Kabali actor begins with his vintage Rajini-esque way of greeting “Ennai vaazha vaikkum tamizhaga makkal aagiya anaivarukkum ennudaya vanakkangal”.
The press note further read “Acting in two films, Shankar’s 2.0 and Pa.Ranjith’s Kabali, back to back, resulted in the need for a rest. So, I had to take a two-month break, along with my daughter Aishwarya Dhanush, to take care of my health and medical conditions. Having heard the great opening for Kabali in United States and witnessing the success back here in Chennai gives me an immense pleasure. Big thanks to my long time friend S.Thanu for producing this film. My heartfelt thanks to director Pa.Ranjith and his team and the co-stars. I would also like to thank my dear fans, audience, especially ladies, press and media, theatre owners and distributors for making Kabali, a highly successful one. Magizhchi.”
Superstar is expected to join the sets of 2.0 very soon.
