Pawan kalyan starrer Sardaar Gabbar Singh has collected huge sum on Day 1 has dropped in the weekend itself. The film did not do well on Saturday and Sunday.. Any other hero’s film would have been washed out on the first day with theatre owners replacing the film by the second day itself. However Pawan Kalyan’s star power is amazing and it created sensation shaking the box-office on the first day.
Sardar Gabbar Singh conquered south by getting a gross of Rs 40.8crs across the world. ‘Baahubali’ is the only film ahead of ‘Sardar’ by collecting a gross of Rs 73crs. So, Sardar Gabbar singh became the second highest grosser in South India. Rajinikanth’s ‘Lingaa’ and Shankar’s ‘I’ stood third and fourth with Rs 39crs and Rs 36crs gross respectively. Mahesh’s ‘Srimanthudu’ is at fifth place with Rs 33crs gross.
Had the film got positive talk, it would have become the industry best in the long run after ‘Baahubali’.
According to early estimates, Sardar Gabbar Singh collection on its third day will be around 7.8 crores (AP/TG). The makers have not given official figures of Saturday yet. So we just have to go by the trade estimates.
