One of the renowned film makers of India, Shankar is facing tough time post the release of his magnum opus ” I ” . As we already learnt , a group of few transgender started agitating the other day, accusing Shanker that few scenes in ” I ” degrading their transgenders community.
As per the reports, Transgenders Comunity found the character essayed by popular make-up artist Ojas M. Rajani (a transgender) as objectionable. In the movie, Rajani lusts over Hero Vikram. Those scenes were found degrading by these group of transgenders and demanding them to be removed from the movie .
Rose Venkatesan, a transgender TV celeb, alleged Shankar has insulted their community and demanded the director to chop off those scenes from ‘I’.
And on the other side, a set of Transgenders have been protesting outside Shankar’s house in T Nagar since a couple of days now. They are demanding a public apology from the director. So, Shankar sought police protection and hence security has been beefed up at his residence.
